Mari Castañeda (Ph.D., 2000, UC San Diego) is an Associate Professor in the
Department of Communication at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her
areas of study include media and cultural policy, Spanish-language and
Latina/o media, and the transcultural political economy of new media and
information technologies.
